India has a variety of wildlife reserves with each of them being special in their own way. Each wildlife reserve offers a different habitat and environment for different types of wildlife species. Many wildlife reserves in India are the habitat of some very rare and exotic species that are difficult to see elsewhere. From the Corbet national part in the Uttarakhand famous for its safari tour to the Sariska National park famous for its nature friendly resorts, each wildlife sanctuary has different experiences to offer. Let’s take a look at some of the most famous and tourist friendly wildlife reserves in India.

Corbet national Park, Uttarakhand

This Jim corbett Park is located in the hills of Utthrakhand and is one of the oldest wildlife reserves in the country. This reserve was established for the protection of the Bengal tigers in 1936 and kept on expanding to become the attractive and biggest wildlife reserve. This park is famous for its Jeep safari that provides a great experience of nature offering some very rare wildlife species. This reserve offers great landscapes and is surrounded by wonderful resorts near the wildlife sanctuary for tourists.

Ranthambore National Park, Rajasthan

The Ranthambore National Park is ranked as one of the best wildlife reserves and is among the most royal wildlife reserves of the country. The beauty of this reserve in the land of desert is the Majestic wild tigers are found only here. The river Chambal flows through the land of Ranthambore that makes it much life a natural forest area. The boundaries of the reserve are surrounded by Banas to make this reserve a perfect habitat for predators. Most of the animals seen in this National park are the Wild boar, the sambar, the Nilgai and Leopards. The Hyena seen in the special safari is also a great attraction in this park. The city of Ranthambore offers great tourist resorts to stay and spend time with family.

Bandipur National Park, Karnataka

The Bandipur National Park located in the city of Karnataka is among the widely popular wildlife reserves in south India. A number of endangered species including the great Indian Elephant are found here. The location of this reserve is at great point being only 80 Km from the city of Mysore and 215Km from Bangalore. This makes this even more of a tourist hotspot in the south India region. Much life other wildlife reserves the Bandipur National Park also has a safari which lets you see the elephants from a closer and natural way.

Sariska National Park, Rajasthan

The Sariska National Park is located in the Altar district. This wildlife reserve was declared as one of the Tiger reserve Forests by the Forest department of India in 1978 due to a large number of tigers that live here. It is also the First national park to ever exist in the entire world. It was adapted by the local Royal Bengal Tigers and offered them a natural habitat. Some other rare species of animals are found here including the Leopard, the Stripped Hyena, the famous golden jackal and also the Jungle cat. The Altar District in the Rajasthan offers much more places of tourist attraction making this place a hotspot in the tourist season.

Kaziranga National Park, Assam

The Kaziranga National Park is one of the most highly protected wildlife reserves of the country. The main reason for this is that this reserve is the only remaining habitat of the One Horned Rhinos. This reserve is one of the most widely spread wildlife reserves in the world. The district of Assam provides great resorts for tourists to stay. This national park also has a number of tigers and even the elephants that can be seen here normally. This reserve was also categorized as a Tiger reserve by the forest department in 2006 due to a large number of Tigers and other wildlife.

Kanha National Park, Madhya Pradesh

Kanha National Park was established in the year 1955 and have become a habitat for a lot of rare species. Some of the species found here like the Swamp Dear known as Barasingha are almost extinct from the northern India. The National park offers a great sunset landscape at a point called Bami Dhar. This park is considered as the most well maintained wildlife park in the whole Asia. The Bamni Dadar point provides a great view of the whole wildlife reserve along with sunset that adds to the beauty of the park and is the most eye catching view among any natural habitats. The city of Madhya Pradesh offers the tourists great resorts and dine ins to make sure the journey is worth the travel.

India is a land of diversity and also offers a great diversity in habitat. This results in a great variety of natural habitats and each of them inhabiting different types of wildlife animals. From south to north and from east to west, India offers a variety of reserves and each of them is special in their own way. The forest department of indie makes sure each wildlife park is maintained and is looked after properly and you will not face any problem as a tourist in any of the wildlife reserves.
